About this car
The Epsilon Euskadi EE1 was the Basque firm's first Le Mans Prototype, built around a full carbon-fibre monocoque and powered by a naturally aspirated Judd V10 mounted longitudinally behind the driver. Ricardo supplied the six-speed sequential gearbox, and the car weighs about 900kg. Epsilon Euskadi was founded by former Formula 1 man Joan Villadelprat.
This is chassis #21 from the 2008 24 Hours of Le Mans, driven by Shinji Nakano, Stefan Johansson and Jean-Marc Gounon. It qualified 15th but retired with mechanical problems after 158 laps. The car sat unused for over a decade before its current owner bought it.
It has since had a full restoration and rebuild by LMP specialists at Pursuit Racing, and has been shaken down with virtually zero hours on all components. The dealer says it is eligible for a range of endurance events, including the new Legends of Le Mans support race. It is a central-seat race car, and no mileage is given.
