Dodge Charger R/T

The 1968 Charger marked the arrival of the second-generation car, with its Coke-bottle body, concealed headlights and fastback roof. The R/T sat at the top of the range and came with the 440 Magnum V8 as standard. This one is a genuine factory manual car, delivered in January 1968 in Yellow with a black vinyl interior.

It spent its early life in California, Washington and New York before coming to the UK in 2018. A rotisserie restoration in the US took the shell back to bare metal and refinished it in the original Yellow, with a replacement roof and new chrome bumpers and brightwork. The current owner bought it in 2022 and had satin black paint protection film fitted over the yellow paint.

The 440 has been upgraded with Edelbrock aluminium heads, Holley Sniper fuel injection, a Crane cam, Hedman headers and a Flowmaster exhaust. A Tremec five-speed manual gearbox drives a Sure Grip rear axle, and the car has a Bergman fast-ratio steering box and front disc brakes. The original carburettors and manifold are included, along with a history file holding the Washington State Title, UK documents, restoration photographs and invoices. It is left-hand drive and shows 22,550 miles.
