Delage D6-70 Millord Cabriolet By Figoni & Falaschi

This is a 1936 Delage D6-70 with Figoni & Falaschi coachwork, one of the French coachbuilder's late-1930s designs. The D6-70 paired Louis Delage's shortened-stroke 2,729 cc six, drawn from the Delahaye 135 engine, with a lighter Delahaye 134 chassis. It also had hydraulic Bendix brakes, which Delahaye did not adopt until after the war. This car produces 90 bhp and uses a Cotal four-speed electromagnetic gearbox.

The body follows Figoni design study number 7675 and carries body number 557. It is a Milord, or half-cabriolet, which can be run open, closed or in the half-open configuration. The dealer says it is one of only four built with a disappearing hood and one of two known to survive. It also has an optional folding windscreen and a Lalique mascot.

The car has just come back from a restoration at the coachbuilders. It is finished in two-tone blue, and the interior has been retrimmed in blue hide with fluted seats and walnut dash and door tops. It is listed with Austrian (VL86A) and UK (UXS331) registrations and comes with both European and UK papers. The page marks the asking price as accepted.
