About this car

Chassis 029 of just 92 Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse examples built, this 2013 car carries a distinction that sets it apart even within that exclusive production run: a confirmed one-of-one configuration, formally recognised and documented through Bugatti's La Maison Pur Sang factory re-certification programme. The Grand Sport Vitesse represents the open-top apex of the Veyron project — 1,183bhp and 1,106ft-lb from a quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16, 62mph dispatched in 2.5 seconds, a 255mph maximum. Over a decade on, those numbers still define the outer edge of what an open-air car can do.

The specification was clearly constructed with precision. Gloss and matte Jet Grey bodywork in deliberately contrasted finishes — doors and mirrors in matte, main panels in gloss — give the exterior a graphic, monochromatic coherence. Single-tone black GSV wheels and blacked-out details throughout reinforce the theme. Inside, Tangerine and Anthracite leather makes a bold counterpoint without being garish. At 6,600 miles, the car is effectively unmolested and sits under full paint protection film. Both the soft top and removable hard top are present with their respective stands and storage bags, alongside the speed key, spare key, PDA, battery conditioner, wind deflector, and leather air intake covers — as complete an accessory package as you will find on any surviving GSV.

The La Maison Pur Sang certification is the defining element of this car's provenance. The programme requires the vehicle to be returned to Bugatti for inspection and authentication by factory specialists, with every detail of its specification recorded in a dedicated booklet — here, one produced specifically for chassis 029. The accompanying certificate of authenticity provides a further layer of factory-verified status. Very few GSV examples have undergone this process, and fewer still combine it with a genuinely unique specification. For collectors, it amounts to a factory seal of approval that the Veyron lineage seldom offers.
