£189,995
About this car
The Z8 was BMW's hand-built answer to the 507, penned by Henrik Fisker and wrapped around an aluminium spaceframe. This 2001 car pairs that structure with the 4,941cc S62 V8 from the E39 M5 and a six-speed manual gearbox, and it is one of the more desirable ways to buy one: just 6,450 miles from new, finished in Titanium Silver Metallic over Black Full Nappa Leather.
It was supplied new to the USA and has been in collector ownership throughout, spending most of its life in Florida before being imported to the UK in 2021 into a significant private collection. The history file includes the import paperwork and service records, along with the owner's manual, warranty booklet and factory tool kit. A matching body-coloured hardtop is included, together with its stand.
Of the 5,703 Z8s built, only around 143 were ever registered in the UK, and all were left-hand drive. The S62 produces 394 bhp and 500 Nm, good for 0-62 mph in 4.7 seconds and an electronically limited 155 mph. Add the film connection as James Bond's car in The World Is Not Enough, and it is a car with both driving substance and collector appeal.
