BMW X5 xDrive50e M Sport

The G05 X5 xDrive50e pairs BMW's 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six with an electric motor and a 25.7kWh battery, for a combined 482 bhp and 700 lb-ft. BMW's 0-62mph claim is 4.8 seconds, which puts this family SUV in properly quick territory, while the plug-in drivetrain allows meaningful zero-emission running for short journeys. This 2024 (74-plate) car is finished in Black Sapphire over Silverstone Sensafin leather and has covered 10,693 miles with a single owner.

Specification is strong. The M Sport Pro Package and Technology Plus Pack are fitted, along with the Comfort Package, Parking Assistant Pro and Crafted Clarity controls. Anthracite Alcantara headlining and a Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof lift the cabin, and 22-inch M double-spoke Jet Black wheels (Style 742) fill the arches. Sun protection glass is also fitted.

It is a practical choice as well as a fast one, with a 2,700 kg towing capacity and a large boot. Even so, this is a plug-in hybrid X5 in M Sport trim rather than an M Performance or full M model, so its appeal is as a quick, well-equipped all-rounder, not a driver's car.
