BMW M535i

The E28 M535i paired the 3.4-litre straight-six from the M30 family with M Technic styling and suspension, giving a quick but discreet saloon. This one is finished in Polaris Metallic with Anthracite pinstripe velour, and has the four-speed switchable automatic and a limited-slip differential, a less common choice than the manual.

It has covered 38,321 miles since being supplied new by Milcars in April 1986, and has had eight registered keepers, the current one since 2014. The interior is largely original, with the M-badged sports seats showing only some wear on the driver's side, and the only departure noted is a later-style Blaupunkt cassette radio.

The car has just had an Inspection II service, a health check and refurbished brake calipers at a BMW specialist, with an invoice of over £2,700. The history file includes the service book with 16 stamps, MOT certificates going back to the early nineties, the original UK sales brochure and the V5C. The MOT runs to May 2027.
