Bac Mono

The BAC Mono is a road-legal single-seater from Briggs Automotive Company, and this 2019 example represents one of the most comprehensively optioned cars to leave the Speke factory. With approximately £110,000 in factory options, the specification reads more like a motorsport parts catalogue than a dealer tick-sheet: carbon ceramic brakes, 17-inch carbon alloy wheels with titanium wheel bolts, race-spec dampers, cockpit-adjustable brake bias, and a bespoke two-tone finish combining Blue Tinted visible carbon fibre bodywork with a Pearlescent White main body — the visible carbon treatment alone accounting for £36,000 of that options bill. The entire car is protected by a full-body PPF wrap applied from new.

Mechanically, this car has been specified to near-Mono R territory: paddle clutch plate and pressure plate to Mono R specification, driveshaft assembly to R spec, billet compressor, race induction system, de-cat pipe and repacked exhaust. These are factory-fitted BAC options that meaningfully close the gap to the faster Mono R, not aftermarket additions. The 2.5L inline-four drives through a 6-speed sequential gearbox to the rear wheels, delivering 305 bhp in a car weighing under 600 kg — enough for a 2.8-second 0–62 mph time and a 170 mph top speed.

At 6,311 miles, this is a low-use example with comprehensive BAC service history. The cockpit has been trimmed in Alcantara with blue contrast stitching, the steering wheel retrimmed to match, and new-generation soft-touch paddle shifters fitted. Monos optioned to this level — particularly with the full visible carbon body finish — appear on the market infrequently.
