2023 Audi SQ8 Launch Edition

The SQ8 is Audi Sport's answer to the performance-SUV brief: a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 producing 500 bhp and 770 lb-ft, sent through an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox to all four wheels via quattro. The page quotes a 155 mph limited top speed, and the 0-62 mph sprint is listed at 4.1 seconds, which is quick enough to embarrass a good many sports cars despite the car's considerable size.

This 2023 (73-plate) Launch Edition has covered 21,635 miles and has had one owner from new. It is finished in Ascari Blue, a factory paint option, and is fitted with the City Assist Pack (including blind spot assistance) and the Tour Pack with adaptive cruise control. Further equipment includes HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light technology, deluxe four-zone climate control and wireless phone charging.

Practicality is retained alongside the pace, with a large boot and a 3,500 kg towing capacity. The 4.0 TFSI is a Euro 6 unit with a quoted CO2 figure of 280 g/km, so this is a fast, long-legged family SUV rather than an economy-minded one.
