2023 Audi RS6 Avant Vorsprung

The RS6 Avant has long been the benchmark for the super-estate, and the C8-generation car in Vorsprung trim is the most complete version yet: a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 with mild-hybrid assistance, 592 bhp and 800 lb-ft, sent through an eight-speed Tiptronic gearbox to a quattro all-wheel-drive system. Audi quotes 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds, and the top speed is shown here as 174 mph, which suggests the raised limiter is fitted.

This 2023 example has covered just 15,485 miles and is finished in blue. Factory options include the RS steel brake package with red gloss calipers, a cheaper and lighter alternative to the carbon ceramics that is easier to live with and to maintain, and carbon twill interior inlays. Vorsprung specification brings the RS-specific Virtual Cockpit on a 12.3-inch display with head-up display, heated front and rear seats, and electrically adjustable front seats with driver memory.

The Tour Pack adds adaptive cruise control, and the Comfort and Sound Package brings a 360-degree camera. Together with the large load bay, they keep the RS6 usable every day without losing any of its performance.
