About this car
Of the 333 R8 GTs built worldwide, this one carries particular provenance: it is believed to be chassis #331 — the last customer car to leave the production line, with #332 and #333 going directly to the press fleet. As a result, it represents the definitive end of Audi's naturally aspirated V10 supercar programme, a chapter that opened in 2007 and will not reopen. Of the 15 UK-supplied examples, this is the only one finished in Audi Exclusive Nogaro Blue, a shade carried over from Audi Sport's motorsport heritage that works particularly well against the GT's aggressive carbon bodywork.
The specification is well-chosen. Lightweight 20-inch forged wheels reduce unsprung mass, carbon ceramic brakes handle the stopping, and the full carbon aero package — including the anti-roll bar — keeps the weight down where the GT's engineering philosophy demands it. The Laser Light Package and Bang and Olufsen audio add usability without compromising character. At 3,882 miles from a single owner, the car is essentially as it left Neckarsulm, with Paint Protection Film covering the entire body and Audi's extended warranty running until October 2028.
The GT's most significant departure from the standard R8 is the removal of Quattro all-wheel drive in favour of a pure rear-wheel-drive setup — a deliberate choice that sharpens the car's responses and introduces a level of driver engagement the standard car cannot match. The 5.2-litre V10 produces 611bhp through the 7-speed S Tronic, dispatching 62mph in 3.4 seconds on the way to a 199mph maximum. As the last naturally aspirated supercar Audi will produce, with this specific production position and colour rarity, it occupies a well-defined place in the near-future collectible market.
