The B10 4.0 was Alpina's first V8-powered car, built on the E34 5 Series after the end of the M30 straight-six. Only around 49 are believed to have been made, and just two of those were right-hand drive. This is one of them, supplied new in September 1994 by Sytner Nottingham in Arctic Silver.
The car has been restored over the last decade at an estimated cost of £50,000. Most removable panels were replaced, the sills and floor pans were repaired, and it was repainted in its original colour with Alpina pin-striping. It sits on a set of genuine staggered Alpina wheels, with rare 10-inch rears, and Alpina-specification Bilstein B12 dampers. The exhaust is a stainless recreation made by PD Gough, the original Alpina supplier. The interior uses E34 M5 seats and trim in red leather and Alcantara, with the original wood retained.
The page lists an odometer reading of 100,000 miles, though the service record runs past that to 189,221 miles in 2007. That history is extensive, with regular main-dealer visits through the first 150,000 miles. Photos of the restoration and paperwork from a London Concours appearance accompany it.
