This 1972 Alfa Romeo GT 1300 Junior has been developed into a fast-road restomod in the style of the Giulia Sprint GTA. It was first registered in the UK in March 1972 in Giallo Ocra, a specification confirmed by an Alfa Romeo Classiche Certificato di Origine. It then spent time in New Zealand until 2016, where the original 1.3-litre engine was replaced with a 2.0-litre Nord unit and the car was repainted in Giallo Ginestra.
The UK build, led by Peter Smart Classic Alfas, centres on Alfaholics parts: fast-road suspension, a four-pot big brake kit, a limited-slip differential and a stainless exhaust. Twin Weber 40DCOE carburettors were tuned on a rolling road to 130bhp in a car of roughly 850kg. Inside are an FIA-compliant bolt-in roll cage, body-coloured Corbeau seats, four-point harnesses and black Milano trim with yellow stitching.
Recent maintenance includes a replacement fuel tank, front brake work and a new 123 ignition unit and coil. It comes with a history folder of invoices, restoration records, New Zealand paperwork and the Classiche certificate. Odometer reading is 56,000.
