The GTA 1300 Junior was Alfa Romeo's lightweight, competition-minded take on the Giulia GT for the under-1300cc classes. Its aluminium body panels and magnesium parts were paired with a short-stroke 1,290cc twin-cam engine. Only around 450 were built, so a genuine one is a rare find.
This 1968 car is finished in Alfa red with white period racing detailing. It began life in Italy and shows signs of early competition preparation. The history on the page includes time in a Rome police pound after use in a bank robbery. In 1987 it was bought by Richard Banks of Alfaholics on behalf of its current owner, who has had it for nearly four decades. It was later restored, converted for road use and first registered in the UK in 1997 as UFS 118.
It comes with its original Italian registration booklet dated August 1969, MOT certificates from 1997 to 2018, invoices, vendor notes and letters from Banks. The original factory sticker remains under the bonnet. The odometer shows 4,334 km, but the dealer lists 104,334 km and says the reading is not warranted. The dealer reports no significant corrosion, only small age-related marks.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Alfa Romeo factory data for the road-going GTA 1300 Junior: 96 PS DIN (95 bhp), 760 kg, 175 km/h. No factory 0-60 time was published. Build total was not a pre-announced limited run, so it's left out.).
